Mark Cuban, billionaire Shark Tank star and Dallas Mavericks owner has feuded with President Trump for a long time. While they used to be friends, Cuban started to publicly insult Trump as he ran his campaign. Cuban called Trump a “jagoff” who got “stupider before your eyes.” Trump responded by calling Cuban “dopey,” and “not smart.”
Now Mark Cuban is entertaining the possibility of running for President. However, he is becoming more and more confident each day that he wants to run as a Republican against President Trump in 2020. “Are you a Democrat or a Republican?” asked Harvey Levin on Fox’s OBJECTified.
“I’m fiercely Independent,” responded Cuban. “But if you run, you’re going to have to run one or the other,” said Levin. “Um, maybe,” Cuban stupidly realized. “Well, if you had to choose, what would you choose?” asked Levin. “Probably Republican,” Cuban finally responded. He then explained why.
“Because I think there’s a place for somebody who is socially a centrist, but I’m very fiscally conservative. But I think there’s better ways now to make government smaller than the old traditional Republican ways,” said Cuban.
“Again, using technology, you know, government as a service can have a dramatic impact on how we live our lives. If you don’t understand technology, and you don’t understand the impact on jobs that technology is having and will continue to have, then you’re going to run into some severe roadblocks,” explained Cuban.
