Oprah Winfrey Has Made Official Announcement About 2020 Run for President

Earlier rumors were spreading the word of a possible run for president in the 2020 Presidential elections by another Hollywood-type leftist diva, Oprah Winfrey. And now, those claims have been somewhat fueled again, when the TV host retweeted a story about such a possibility and issued a personal message on her personal Twitter profile:

The billionaire media mogul has revealed that at first, she didn’t plan on running for president ever, but after seeing President Donald Trump win the 2016 presidential elections against the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, it made her rethink what it really took and meant to be a president, saying, “I never considered the question, even a possibility, but now, after seeing Trump win, I just thought, ‘Oh, oh?’”

But despite being inactive for the past year in the field of politics, Winfrey was making headlines back in 2007, when she was hyper-political and campaigning for former President Barack Obama. She was also a good friend with the Obamas and was tagging along for their administration’s failed attempt at getting the Olympics in Chicago.

And she hasn’t kept it a secret that she sides with the Democratic party, especially since people started fantasizing about her running for office, more specifically for a Vice Presidential position.

But recently on CBS, Oprah was asked about her political future, which prompted her to answer saying, ”I think you could break news here today … 2020, I’m wondering if you’ve narrowed down your short list of VP candidates?”

She then settled all rumors by finally admitting, “Well you can be safe with that. There will be no running for office of any kind for me.”
