Jimmy Kimmel made headlines for his disgusting attacks against Conservatives after the shooting at Vegas. He claimed that anyone who supports gun rights doesn’t feel for the victims in Las Vegas. Shortly after making his first monologue he hired more armed security guards to protect himself. But this didn’t stop him from attacking gun owners more. However, after Weinstein was exposed, Kimmel didn’t even mention it.
Kimmel was confronted about this hypocrisy in an interview on ABC’s Good Morning America. “First of all, the Harvey Weinstein thing, people like this false equivalence of that’s somehow equivalent to what happened in Las Vegas,” said Kimmel. He went on to claim that he wasn’t friends with Weinstein and is in the television industry and not the movie industry.
“And I’ll add that that story came out like I think moments before we went to tape on Thursday and we didn’t have a show on Friday. They’re saying that I’m calling myself the moral conscience of America, which I most certainly never did and most certainly never would,” said Kimmel.
This could be seen as a way of dodging the question. He comments on most news. He will comment on Trump or anything that makes a Republican look bad. In fact the only time he mentioned Weinstein is in a confrontation with Don Jr. where he compare President Trump to Weinstein.
“Next time you’re defending your father and you think it’s a good idea to draw a comparison between him and a freshly accused sexual predator, don’t. It doesn’t help,” tweeted Kimmel with a link to the 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape.
