Catalonia today, California tomorrow?

California Gov. Jerry Brown has announced that he accepted a bill that would block state law enforcement officials from enforcing federal immigration codes. This would make the state of California a total sanctuary state for immigrants in the country illegally.

The bill was passed by their Democratic state government and will completely block their police from doing their jobs. This is the kind of thing that we have been seeing a lot of recently from liberal states everywhere. If they are illegally in the country, then they need to be deported. It is as simple as that. This move would not even let police asked questions regarding the illegals status. Not to mention the fact that they cannot work with ICE officials.

Most arrests and deportations count on cooperation between ICE and local officials. But with this new law, it would be almost impossible for anything like that to get done. That is sad to see. Illegal immigrants have no business being in the country. If they want to be here so bad, they should go back and apply for a green card. It is as simple as that.

This bill was expected to be signed by the liberal government so it really came as a shock to no one. But given the fact that these people are criminals, many people were very harsh on the legislation.

“This bill protects public safety and people who come to California to work hard and make this state a better place,” Brown said in a statement on the amendments. That is not true. It doesn’t do any of those things. All it does is make it even easier for illegals to flow in.

ICE officials would still be able to interview those that are already in the custody of California law enforcement agents. But that is just about all they are allowed to do. Everything else is completely off limits for these federal agents that are simply trying to do their job.
