This Monday, desperate comedian Jimmy Kimmel opened his late-night episode with a ten-minute political rant against the horrific shooting which took place in Las Vegas this Sunday night, putting several hundred people in hospital and taking the lives of over 50 people, during a country music concert.
But despite the efforts of the Trump administration to set aside politics and unite the people as Americans in times of tragedy, Kimmel insisted that “now is the time for political debate” referring to the topic about gun control.
He immediately dismissed President Donald Trump’s comments which called for prayers for the families of the victims, putting the blame of the GOP for the mass shooting, saying, “they should be praying for God to forgive them for letting the gun lobby run this country.”
He went on with his ranting, saying that the Republicans “won’t do anything about this because the NRA has their balls in a money clip,” adding “thoughts and your prayers are insufficient.”
Kimmel the said that there were things they couldndo, but they chose not to, saying that the leadership only chose to act when “someone with a beard attacks us” but when “an American buys a gun and kills other Americans, there’s nothing we can do about that.”
At last, Jimmy Kimmel concluded his session of hateful comments against the administration, slamming the POTUS for signing “bill that made it easier for people with severe mental illness to buy guns legally.”
