Rep Al Green plans to call for Donald Trump’s impeachment over NFL remarks

This Tuesday, Rep. Al Green (D-TX) came forward on the House floor calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump as a result of the remarks he made about the NFL players which kneeled for the national anthem.

In his statement, Green said that he doesn’t rise as a Democrat or a Republican, nor as a liberal or conservative, but instead, as a “proud American, a person who believes in this country, who salutes the flag and says the pledge of allegiance and signs the national anthem.” He continued on with his speech, explaining, “I rise to defend any mom who has been called a dog because her son engaged in peaceful protest. I rise, Mr. Speaker. I rise today, Mr. Speaker, to defend any son who is called the son of a dog because he engaged in a peaceful protest.”

At last, he concluded his speech by saying that he denounces the comments which were made by the commander-in-chief, and sending a warning announcement that next week, he will be bringing a privileged resolution before the Congress, and will stand there calling for the impeachment of POTUS, ending it all by saying, “I yield back my time.”

This isn’t the first time that a leftist has come forward threatening to push forward an impeachment article, and hopefully this will end as every other up until now – as a failure.
