This Monday, failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton went on an interview in during which she said that President Donald Trump has “tendencies toward authoritarianism,” explaining how she hopes he hasn’t “ordered the killing of people and journalists” just as Russian President Vladimir Putin has been accused of doing.
Hillary compared the U.S. commander-in-chief with Putin during a conversation with Charlier Rose, before going on to discuss her opinion and ideas on the president’s view of democracy, saying she “hopes” he is not exactly like Putin in every way.
“I don’t think he really values democracy, Charlie,” said Clinton, before continuing on to complain, saying, “he’s a top-down guy,” who according to her, “has tendencies toward authoritarianism,” before going in with the ultimate comparison and insult, “Well, hopefully he hasn’t ordered the killing of people and journalists and the like.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t anything new coming from someone such as Hillary, who during her campaign, constantly took stabs at their rival Republican candidate, Donald Trump, for calling on improved relations with Russia. But that wasn’t the end, since when Hillary faced a humiliating loss on the elections, she continued with her rant, accusing Trump of colluding with the Russians to win the presidential election.
“There certainly was communication and there certainly was an understanding of some sort,” said Clinton during an interview back in September. Her remarks can be seen below:
