Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million For Hurricane Victims

Without a doubt the Hurricane Harvey has left the nation in shock. Flooding the houses of thousands Texans and leaving even more trapped on rooftops waiting for help from rescue agencies, it caused a lot of mess. However, thousands of generous Americans, decided to help Texans out, and donated to all victims of Hurricane Harvey.

From the friendly neighbor to many A-listed celebrities, ranging from top athletes and actors like Kevin Hart to the band Lady Antebellum, thousands of generous people have been stepping up to help the Texans.

Although, one very famous person raised the bar very high when she donated $1 million to the Red Cross in an effort to help those hit by Hurricane Harvey.

Yes, that’s Sandra Bullock. Academy Award-winning actress has donated $1 million to help assist the victims struggling to recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.

But her donation wasn’t the only thing that was admirable, as she gave a fantastic speech with words that spoke with even greater volume.

Bullock stated:

“I’m just grateful I can do it. We all have to do our part.

There are no politics in eight feet of water. There are human beings in eight feet of water.”

Bullock is a huge supporter of the Red Cross organization.

Elizabeth Penniman, Vice President of Communications for American Red Cross national headquarters, commented Bullock’s donation:

“THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE GIFT. WE’RE SO THANKFUL. IT’S TIMES LIKE THIS WHEN WE DO RECEIVE SUCH AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF SUPPORT. ESPECIALLY DURING TIMES OF DISASTER, PEOPLE SEE WHAT’S HAPPENING IN TEXAS AND OUR HEARTS ALL GO OUT TO THEM. HAVING SOMEONE LIKE SANDRA BULLOCK MAKE THIS KIND OF COMMITMENT, IT HELPS BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER AND OPEN THEIR HEARTS AND BE EVEN MORE GENEROUS.”
