Congressional Gunman Loved Bernie, Hated Republicans

The nation is still in shocked after the news came in this Wednesday morning, of a shooting, in which a shooter opened fire on Republican congressmen, while they were practicing for a charity baseball match.

The reports added that the gunman asked the congressmen whether they were Republicans or Democrats prior shooting at them. Apparently, he wanted to make sure they were Republicans before he unloaded his gun. At first, only suspicions were raised about the motives of the gunman, but now, his chilling link to a top Democrat has been revealed.

The Washington Post reported that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has just revealed via a tweet, that the shooter, James T. Hodgkinson, was a volunteer for his presidential campaign.

Charles Orear, age 50, who was also a Bernie volunteer, indicated that Hodgkinson was a well known figure on the Bernie campaign trail, and according to Orear, the two of them had campaigned for Bernie alongside Hodgkinson in Iowa.

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Orear said when told of what Hodgkinson did. “I met him on the Bernie trail in Iowa, worked with him in the Quad Cities area.”

He went on to describe Hodgkinson as a “quiet guy” who was “very mellow, very reserved” when they stayed together overnight in Rock Island, Illinois.

“He was this union tradesman, pretty stocky, and we stayed up talking politics,” Orear said. “He was more on the really progressive side of things.”

However, Orear’s friend seems to have expressed his opinion, feelings and thoughts on President Trump through his Facebook page:
