Alec Baldwin, the radical leftist actor known for his abysmal portrayal of Donald Trump on Saturday Night live, came to the defense of Kathy Griffin following the public uproar over her gruesome photoshoot, telling her, “I’ve been there” and “f*** them all” if they can’t take the joke.
Part-time comedian and full-time Trump-hater, Baldwin supported Griffin in a late-night twee-storm over the weekend, saying “gutless weasels in the GOP” played the “victim beautifully.”
He wrote a series of 5 tweets condemning President Trump for not taking the ‘joke’.
“1- Dear Kathy Griffin, Kathy….baby…I’ve been there. The whole Henry Hyde thing w Conan, where we bring out an oxygen mask at the end?
2- a joke. That’s what I thought. That’s what we intended. No one walked out of the studio and said, “No! We’re serious!” No one,” started Baldwin.
“3- but all your gutless, weasels in the GOP insisted that I actually threatened Hyde. They played the victim beautifully.
4- Kathy…f*ck them. F*ck them all. No 1 believes u meant 2 threaten Trump. Trump is such a senile idiot, all he has is Twitter fights,” said Baldwin on Twitter.
“5- ignore him. Like the leaders of all the other countries in the world. Ignore him,” wrote Baldwin. How can anyone take her side and actually accuse Trump of ‘playing the victim’ after what she did?
Griffin’s photoshoot –featuring the comedian holding a fake, bloody, decapitated President Trump head- sparked outrage on both sides of the aisle after the gory images appeared on social media. President Trump responded that he thought it was in bad taste and that his 11-year-old son Barron was traumatized by it. This apparently was enough to ruin Griffin’s life.
She eventually apologized, but has since hired a high-powered attorney and accused the Trump family of “bullying” her following her failed publicity stunt.
