The Obamas have been ruling this country for over 8 years now, but it seems as they haven’t had enough of Washington just yet. They returned from their 10-day vacation in the British Virgin Islands and have been in the nation’s capital for one week now.
Just as the Obamas returned, they immediately released a horrible announcement that put everyone on their feet.
According to the Daily Mai, the “Office of Barack and Michelle Obama” has listed open positions for interns who are willing to work for them. The job positions are related to correspondence, and the Obamas made clear that they are looking for people who “take initiative, manage their time well, have strong attention to detail, strong writing skills, and the utmost commitment to public service.”
Information on whether the interns would work for Barack, Michelle or both of them was not released.
However, since the former first family has plenty of speeches coming up, they will want some help.
“President Barack Obama and Mrs. Obama have selected the Harry Walker Agency to coordinate their respective speaking engagements,” read a statement issued by the Obama spokesman last Friday. “In addition, Attorneys Robert Barnett and Deneen Howell will manage contract-negotiations with potential publishers for the former president and Mrs. Obama’s respective books.”
Think of how much money would this cost, and I’m guessing it is all coming straight from the taxpayers’ pockets.
The Obamas are expected to use their taxpayer-funded pension to provide paychecks for the future employees. Did we mention that they don’t really need staff whatsoever?
The Obamas were trying to undermine Trump’s effort to save taxpayers’ money by cutting down on the First Lady’s personnel, and that is simply outrageous.
And while Donald Trump is trying to put this country back together after Obama’s brought chaos, they seem careless of the fact that unnecessary money is being spent for their own personal gain.
Do you find Barack and Michelle’s announcement repulsive or necessary?
