Very recently, a Washington D.C. federal judge has obstructed President Donald Trump’s executive order on “Travel ban” throughout the country. Judge James Robert was appointed by former Republican president George W. Bush. The restraining order was immediately put into effect.
Naturally, Trump’s White House has reacted to this impediment with a message. Here’s how the president responded according to Right Scoop:
‘At the earliest possible time, the Department of Justice intends to file an emergency stay of this outrageous order and defend the executive order of the President, which we believe is lawful and appropriate. The president’s order is intended to protect the homeland and he has the constitutional authority and responsibility to protect the American people.
As the law states, “Whenever the President finds that the entry or any aliens of of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”
President Trump’s executive order was in accordance with the law, no doubt about it. Trump has every authorization to forbid certain people from entering the U.S., particularly if the country has no effective way of scrutinizing and vetting all those who enter the country.
Trump won’t let anyone stand between him and his executive orders, many of which he promised to fulfill during his campaign and he is only making good on his promise to the U.S. citizens.
