CALEXIT ‘2019: Thousands campaign to separate California from U.S.!

There’s big chance that California sedeces from the United States. The proposal “arrived” at the Secretary of State’s office this Thursday.

The very same process (Brexit) in which UK left the European Union. This initiative will repeal part of its constitution that considers California an inseparable portion of America.

The results of the latest poll show that one in three Californians support the whole idea because of their disagreement with Donald Trump.

If they reach their goal, and voters consider it beneficial, this could mean that the state can break apart from our country.

As the Secretary of State Alex Padilla explains, Yes California Independence Campaign may gather near 600,000 voter signatures. Each of these will get the plan on a ballot.

“In our view, the United States of America represents so many things that conflict with Californian values, and our continued statehood means California will continue subsidizing the other states to our own detriment, and to the detriment of our children,” the Yes campaign’s website explains.

This wasn’t the first attempt of its kind, and California “is dying” to leave America. Well, none of the attempts succeeded.

California Nationhood tries to make voters repeal the language according to which the US Constitution is the supreme law. If any of this gets approved, the 2019 would ask voters the following question: “Should California become a free, sovereign and independent country?”

“America already hates California, and America votes on emotions,” Marcus Evans, vice president of Yes California said in his interview for the Los Angeles Times. “I think we’d have the votes today if we held it.”

Every valid voter signature will contribute to the qualification of the ballot. This should end by July 25.

  1. Ok they don’t get federal aid – they can not participate in our lotto, their residents will pay sky high taxes!! Do they really realize who many benefits they give up?? Are they crazy???

  2. Fat chance. Texas wanted to do that during the Obama era. The naysay on
my part is the result of an utter lack of constitutional provision to cover that
option on the part of any state at all. Please reconsider.
